Amway and the YMCA: Supporting Healthy Communities
 

With a shared commitment to health and holistic wellbeing, Amway has supported the YMCA for over 30 years. Learn how our 1.2-million-dollar gift will impact nearly 100,000 children over the next three years.

Grand Rapids Children’s Business Fair

Once a year, the Business Fair provides a safe setting for kids to practice entrepreneurship by displaying their latest business ventures and even making a profit – all while learning to promote their wares and build key skills. Nominated by Amway team member Dana Roefer.

Easterseals

Easterseals supports children and adults with special needs through a variety of life-changing programs and services. Through whole-person care and strong community ties, impact goes far. This video focuses on Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania. Nominated by IBO Kristi Palkovic.

Existing to end hunger and homelessness and support those who experience it, Mel Trotter Ministries is on a mission in West Michigan. Nominated by IBO Bruce Bush.

FAQs

Current Amway North America employees or active IBOs* with a minimum of two years operating their Amway business.

*Applicants must be in good standing.

While there are no set categories, applications for organizations that focus on Amway strengths of health and wellbeing, empowerment and entrepreneurship will be prioritized. In addition, the level of involvement by the IBO or employee (e.g., serving on a board or committee, hosting an event or fundraiser, taking an active role in volunteering, etc.) will be taken into consideration.

Applications will be evaluated against a list of criteria which you can review here.

Government-recognized nonprofit organizations in the United States, Canada or Dominican Republic.

We love to shine light on organizations doing good – especially those that IBOs and employees care deeply about. AmGive awardees may be featured in videos, articles and other promotional assets that can be shared by IBOs, employees and Amway channels.

A total of nearly US$200,000 in financial support will be awarded each year. Awards typically range from US$5,000-US$10,000. The amount awarded to each selected organization will be determined by the AmGive selection committee based on a list of criteria, which includes but is not limited to financial stability, quality of community programs, level of IBO or employee engagement, alignment with Amway purpose and Values, the number of applications received and more.

Amway can make credit card payments for donations up to US$5,000 if your organization accepts that method of payment.

For larger donation amounts or if the organization cannot accept credit cards, the following must be provided:

  • U.S. organizations MUST complete and submit Form W-9.
  • Non-U.S. organizations MUST complete and submit the appropriate Form W-8 (e.g., W-8 BEN-E, W-8 ECI or W-8 IMY).
  • The organization MUST complete either ACH/EFT or wire transfer details.
  • If selecting ACH/EFT, a voided check or bank letter is also required.
  • Amway does not offer checks as a payment method.
