Nutrilite™ Stress Relief Probiotic is a probiotic and botanical dietary supplement that supports a healthy response to occasional stress and helps promote mental focus, while also supporting healthy digestion. Our double defense formula combines 18 billion CFUs from two clinically supported probiotic strains with a unique non-GMO melon concentrate from fruit grown exclusively in the South of France and naturally rich in superoxide dismutase (SOD), one of the body’s most powerful antioxidant defense systems.

What is a probiotic strain?
When looking for a probiotic dietary supplement, make sure to look for a product identifying three different parts of the probiotic name.

• The first part (e.g., Lactobacillus) is the genus. This is the large group to which the bacteria belong.
• The second part (e.g., acidophilus) is the species. This is the type of individual bacteria in the genus.
• And the third – and most important – part (e.g., NCFM) is the strain. It is important to choose a probiotic supplement that identifies the strain, not just genus and species, of each probiotic it contains. Quite often you will simply see the probiotics named to the species level. So, you might see “Lactobacillus acidophilus” on the label instead of “Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM.” Without knowing the strain of probiotic you are taking, it is impossible to predict the type of benefits a probiotic may have on health. Within each species, there are a multitude of strains. Strains of the same species may have very different actions, properties and characteristics that influence benefits to the consumer.

What is meant by CFU?
CFU stands for Colony Forming Unit and is an indication of the number of probiotics in a product.

What probiotics are included in this product? Why were these probiotics chosen?
This product provides 18B CFU of probiotic bacteria from the two dominant genera of good bacteria in a healthy gut – Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. The product delivers 17B CFU from Lactobacillus paracasei LPC-37 – the clinically supported level of LPC-37 for supporting a healthy response to occasional stress. We also included 1B CFU of Bifidobacterium lactis B420, which works along with LPC-37 to support healthy gut microflora.

Why was Extramel®† Melon Concentrate included in this product?
Extramel®† is a unique non-GMO melon concentrate obtained from a proprietary variety of cantaloupe grown exclusively in the South of France. This melon is naturally rich in superoxide dismutase (SOD), one of the body’s most powerful antioxidant defense systems. Extramel^®† is coated with vegetable wax to preserve SOD activity during transit through the stomach so its antioxidant power remains active until released in the gut. We matched the levels of Extramel^®† in our product to levels administered in human clinical trials shown to reduce levels of occasional stress. We chose the right botanical – Extramel®† Organic Melon Concentrate – at clinically supported levels (10 mg, 140 U SOD activity) to reinforce a healthy response to stress.

How often should I consume Nutrilite Stress Relief Probiotic? Can I use it more than once per day? Are there any benefits from using more than the recommended amount per day?
