MAKING MONEY

Of course. If you sign up as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) and want to leave the Amway™ business within your first 90 days, we will happily give you a 100% refund on your registration fee.

We understand that being an IBO isn’t for everyone, and we want you to feel comfortable and capable to own and operate your own business – it’s a commitment that offers great rewards, but only through hard work. We understand that life is unpredictable and, if yours changes or you decide not to go forward within your first 90 days, we promise to part as friends by generously offering you a full refund on your registration.

You are never obligated to stay with Amway and can leave your business whenever you’d like. And thanks to our 100% satisfaction guarantee, you can quit Amway without losing any money.

Our goal is for everyone to enjoy their experience for as long as they decide to be and IBO. And most do – 60% of our IBOs renew every year.
Our Independent Business Owners (IBOs) earn income by selling Amway™ products to customers and by building a business where they sponsor and mentor others to do the same.

Simply put, you make money by:
  • Selling Amway™ products with a retail markup and pocketing the margin.
  • Earning personal sales bonuses based on your personal volume of products sold.
  • Achieving Growth Incentives for building a team of others, who in turn also sell Amway™ products.

Retail markup: IBOs can sell Amway™ products at a markup (the difference between cost and retail price) to earn retail margin on the sale. While IBOs can set their own prices, Amway does establish a suggested retail price for every product.

Bonuses: IBOs can earn monthly bonuses based on their personal sales volume (how many products and what types of products they sell).

Growth Incentives: As their business grows and they sponsor new team members, IBOs receive monthly bonuses based on the product sales volume of their team. IBOs earn Growth Incentives for reaching key business building milestones, such as one-time cash awards and business trips.

Amway offers a performance-based compensation plan. How much IBOs earn is largely dependent on how much time and effort they consistently put into their businesses. Rest assured, we reward your success. In fact, since 1959, Amway has paid out more bonuses and cash incentives to its distributors worldwide than any other direct selling company in history.*

In sales, what you earn largely depends on your effort and ability to successfully move product. The Amway™ business is no different. And their income, just like the people themselves, varies greatly.

When people consider joining Amway, the question they ask themselves most is, “What kind of income do I want?” Not just how much, but how to earn it and for how long? For most, Amway is an ideal side gig that allows Independent Business Owners (IBOs) to run their businesses part-time to make a little extra money to reach a specific financial goal like paying off debt, investing in a college fund or funding a dream vacation. As their businesses grow, more experienced IBOs may invest more and more time, until eventually Amway becomes their full-time focus and primary paycheck.

It’s important to note that, unlike other businesses like Uber®† or Airbnb®†, Amway™ is a business where you can earn income, more predictably, over time. Only when IBOs consistently sell products and build teams of successful IBOs does their income increase and become more sustainable. Long-term success comes with passion, persistence and patience – and the rewards can be great. In fact, since 1959, Amway has paid out more bonuses and cash incentives to its distributors worldwide than any other direct selling company in history.*

There’s no magic formula – if there were, everyone would do it. Success is gauged by your approach, available time and consistent effort.

As an Independent Business Owner (IBO), you determine your own goals and set your own schedule. Your compensation and bonuses are based on how successfully you sell Amway™ products and sponsor and mentor other IBOs to follow your lead.

Most people join Amway to supplement their primary income, and they start making extra money as soon as they sell products. Others have bigger goals and want to earn a full-time income. The higher your financial target, the more time and effort it takes to reach your goal.

The perks of starting an Amway™ business go beyond income, too. As your business grows so does your confidence and business expertise. You’ll develop and hone skills in sales, marketing, financial management, leadership, communications and public speaking. And your sponsor will coach you every step the way.

The success of Amway is directly tied to the success of our IBOs. We invest in your success with Amway™ Education, a robust curriculum of more than 80 virtual courses and activities. It’s flexible, fun learning that’s even free!
You bet – and thousands of people around the world do. These inspiring entrepreneurs have successfully turned their passion into a full-time career, investing years of hard work into making their Amway™ business their primary income.

Yet most people don’t look at Amway as a career, and we do not position our business opportunity that way. The majority of Independent Business Owners (IBOs) see their Amway™ business as a part-time side gig that lets them make a little extra money or to reach a specific financial goal like paying off debt, investing in a college fund or funding a dream vacation. As their businesses grow, more experienced IBOs may invest more and more time, until eventually Amway becomes their full-time focus and primary paycheck.

The beauty of your Amway™ business is that it’s just that – yours. You decide when and how much work you want to put into it to reach your goals.
Absolutely not. Our Independent Business Owners (IBOs) make money by selling Amway™ products – never from sponsoring.

With each product sold, we set aside a portion of the product cost as “bonus” (sales commission). This is shared by IBOs who work together in sales groups according to their contract with Amway. If no products are sold, nobody makes any money. Yet any sales leader would tell you that, in order to build a big business, you want as many points of sale as you can manage and support. Think of every new IBO sponsored as a point of sale.

Just like growing retailers who set up new stores, IBOs can grow their teams by sponsoring IBOs to sell Amway™ products and sponsor new IBOs, too. The more points of sale, the more customers reached and the more products sold. It’s as simple as that.

Yes, you can certainly make money with Amway! Amway makes more than 350 high-quality products in nutrition, beauty, personal care and home care. Amway Independent Business Owners make money by selling these products to their customers and by building a team of other Independent Business Owners who do the same. Independent Business Owners are rewarded based on their efforts. As their business grows and other Independent Business Owners join their group, they can receive monthly bonuses based on the product sales volume of their entire team. The Amway business model doesn't require thousands of dollars to go into business. For example, it’s only $76 to own an Amway business in the U.S and only $78 in Canada. It’s a compelling business premise – the harder you work, the more you sell, the more money you can make. Few jobs offer this kind of reward for the effort, which is why direct selling is so appealing to millions of Americans.

Amway has several levels of income or pins. Each level is recognized and rewarded based on the business-building achievements of the Amway Independent Business Owner. To be eligible for rewards, an Amway Independent Business Owner must be in compliance at all times with specific Independent Business Owner rules.
